[Part 1] Google AdWords Optimization - Bid Strategy
There are 3 things to look at when optimizing your Google AdWords Account.
- Bid Strategy
- Location
- Keywords
In this video, I go over just the Bid Strategy.
Bid Strategy is one of the essential elements of a campaign because this is how much you pay!
Select your campaign then go to your settings
First, uncheck “Help increase conversions with Enhanced CPC
[This option should only be selected if you after doing 15 or more conversions a month
Next set your Max Bid!
- Now, what do you set it for?
- Let the campaign run without a max bid set for 1 week. Then review your keywords to find out what is most important to you.
- When reviewing your keywords add columns “Est. first page bid”, “Est. first position bid”, and “Est. top of page bid.” This will tell you what you are averaging to be in those positions and you can estimate the average and decide if being the first one on the page is the most important or if being on the top is good enough.
- Now set your max bid.
These are the first 2 tips when optimizing your account to get better performance.
